Finally getting started with the sampler on the loom. Getting those 45° diagonals is not easy. But at least I have the treadles tied up correctly now. Previously, I had them tied up with my standard 2:2 twill tie-up. Now, I finally followed the tie-up on my draft correctly.
- Treadle one pulls down shafts 3 and 4
- Treadle two pulls down shafts 2 and 3
- Treadle three pulls down shafts 1 and 2
- Treadle four pulls down shafts 4 and 1
And then I have the two treadles on the right tied-up for tabby. If I enter the shuttle from the right side for the tabby shot, then I use the right tabby treadle. And if I enter the shuttle from the left side for the tabby shot, then I use the left tabby treadle. Seems like a great system so far!
